Meet Our Teaching Artists

Shelly O’Hara-Tapp, Executive Director, founded Musical Theatre 360 in 2002. Shelly has directed children’s theatre in the New York, Pittsburgh, and Bucks County areas.  She has an extreme passion for Musical Theatre and Opera, and has been a member of DPAC/MMT in Lambertville, NJ since 2012. Some of her favorite roles include Carlotta in Phantom, The Mayor’s Wife in Seussical, Lily in The Secret Garden, and Madame Dindon in La Cage aux Folles.

Shelly has performed opera, operetta, oratorio, and musical theater in the United States and in Europe. Her Giulietta (Bellini) was praised by the NY Times as “attractive, focused, and projected with assurance and warmth.” Other major roles include Queen of the Night (Mozart), and Semele (Handel). She’s been a featured soloist for Washington (DC) Oratorio Society and Trinity Church, Manhattan. She has also performed at Chautauqua, Da Capo Opera, Alice Tully Hall, Bel Canto Opera of Philadelphia, and Juilliard’s Daniel Ferro Program. She is a winner of the Liederkranz Competition, Wagner Young Artist Award, and a regional finalist in the Metropolitan Opera Auditions.  Shelly holds a B.A. from The Cleveland Institute of Music, M.M. Shenandoah Conservatory, and Professional Studies, Mannes in New York.
